  • Popis: A large expropriation is at hand in the village of Ano Letinio for the construction of a military airport. Sotiris, the village mayor, as well as a rich landowner called Thanasis, go to Athens to find out if the plan will go ahead. The reason is that Thanasis’ future son-in-law wants to know the value of the land his future wife Dimitroula will get as a dowry. She, however, loves an airman named Vaggelis, who is performing his military service in Athens. When Vangelis finds out the plans for the village, he and his comrade Kanellos go to the village to see what is happening and what to do. Kanellos is a naïve hotel doorman, but due to his fancy uniform, the villagers think he is a Wing-Commander. As such, he solves all of Thanasis’ problems and gets his consent for Dimitroula’s marriage to Vaggelis. When the real Wing-Commander arrives at the village accompanied by the region’s MP, things get messy. Since there was no malicious intent involved, the two airmen are forgiven for their little charade.
